“Alaskans love to have fun, and I’m Alaskan” ~ Entertain Your Wedding Guests

Coral Howe, owner of Alaska Photobooth Company, has a particularly excellent idea for those of you who are planning a wedding that people will LOVE to attend! Coral’s tag line, “Rare Moments & Wild Laughter…Capture the Fun”, really says it all when it comes to renting a photobooth for your wedding. Let’s hear what Coral has to say about this fabulous national wedding trend…
I debuted the Alaska Photobooth Company in the Fall of 2008 at a friend’s wedding in Anchorage. I was hoping to offer Alaskans a different type of entertainment at weddings and special events, beyond the traditional DJ. It was apparent in one night that it was a winning idea. Unlike weddings in the Lower 48, many guests fly in to attend Alaskan weddings. It’s expensive and couples want to make sure their guests leave feeling the long trip was worth it. Wedding couples want ways to create an amazing time for their loved ones.
I did my research and bought top of the line digital booths, which produce instant, unlimited high archival quality prints all night long. We customize the center graphics, which may be used as the wedding favor, record the images, and provide a guest scrapbook for each event. Our booths are fashioned after the retro era metal booths that “Boomers” remember, and are constructed to handle rowdy Alaskans! They are “real” photobooths, not a camera with curtains. There are other photobooth rental companies available, and it is possible to build your own, but there is just something charming about having a real booth.
Alaska Photobooth Company offers so many extras for about the same fee and we are professionals. Even more important, our entire staff loves to “photobooth”! Our goal is to provide Alaskans with the best product and the best service. I couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic response from Alaskans and we are continuing to grow with multiple booths throughout the state. When I see how much fun everyone has and hear the laughter, I know I made the right choice for a business.
Alaskans love to have fun, and I’m Alaskan. ~ Coral Howe, Alaska Photobooth Company
Here are a few testimonials from Alaskan brides and grooms who have rented from Alaska Photobooth Company:
“If a picture is worth a thousand words, your photo booth at our wedding was the conversation…all night long! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” ~ Debra & John H., Anchorage
“Your event gal was terrific! She even got my shy Grandma to get in the booth and let loose. What a treasure those pictures will be for us in the years to come. Thank you!” ~ Amanda G., Fairbanks
“We love the Alaska Photobooth Company. You made my daughter’s wedding and our return home to Alaska for the event absolutely perfect. It was worth every penny. Thank you.” ~ Lynette S., Dallas, TX
“Coral, all I heard was ‘Best wedding ever, the photobooth was brilliant!’. It’s the one thing I’m recommending to all my friends that are getting married. Not everyone danced, not everyone drank, but EVERYONE got in the booth at least once.” ~ Jenny P., Anchorage

Get Out Your Dancin’ Shoes!

What’s better than dancin’ a jig to music at a fabulous party? Or closing your eyes and reminiscing to orchestra or harp music? Welcome the next step of your life with a wedding celebration themed by music and personality.
We’ve asked a few of our favorite local wedding and music industry professionals for a few tips to pass along to couples planning their wedding. Here’s what the experts have to say:
- Look for personality, friendliness, and interaction with an audience ~ are you comfortable talking with them? Do they spend time meeting with you? It’s important to develop a relationship with the musicians or DJ so they get to know you. This will ease your stress about one important element on your big day.
- Look for universal appeal ~ you want your guests to like the DJ or musicians; they make the party. Find an entertainer that will accommodate your music vision during your ceremony and reception.
- Live music, such as a band or DJ, can be energetic, entertaining, and contagious! A band or DJ can customize and personalize their music for your function. Music is an integral part of your wedding day and you want a musician or DJ that LOVES what they do because their enthusiasm will be reflected in a positive way at your wedding.
- A good musician will learn a song or two just for your event. Discuss whether or not the musician knows the songs you may want for your special dances, dedications, or for the party after dinner.
Use our expert’s advice in addition to the interview questions located in your Workbook to choose the perfect music and entertainment for your reception!

“I DO!” Get married in style at the Denaina Center!

I want to show you the amazing Denaina Center in Anchorage. Now this is the place to get married! The Tikahtnu ballroom is ideal for weddings and receptions. The ballroom can be divided into smaller sections based on your square footage needs. Ballroom A is the most popular section—with floor to ceiling windows, it’s a stunning venue that can accommodate up to 150 guests comfortably. The spacious lobby surrounded by windows just outside the ballroom is perfect for gathering family and friends. The adjoining terrace is also spacious and affords grand views of the mountains and a breath of fresh air for your guests (especially any happily teary parents). In fact, some couples opt to have the ceremony right on the terrace—during the summer.
In either case, the seating, staging—and even catering—is all taken care of by an experienced staff. So, go to www.anchorageconventioncenters.com or call Christine Gire at (907) 263-2866 for a private tour.
